Madhabkunda Waterfall: Bangladesh's Pride in the East

Madhabkunda Waterfall is located in Bishamahar of Moulvibazar district, approximately 40-45 km from Sreemangal. With a height of about 61 meters (200 feet), it's one of the tallest waterfalls in Bangladesh. The water cascades down the Patharia hills and flows through the Madhabchhara stream towards the Hakaluki Haor.

The area around the waterfall is part of a larger eco-park, providing basic amenities for visitors. The rocky steps leading up to the waterfall offer great vantage points for photography, though caution is needed as rocks can be slippery.

This is a full-day trip destination. We recommend starting early morning from the resort (around 7 AM) to avoid crowds and have ample time to explore. The road conditions have improved in recent years, but some sections are still rough.

Pack lightly: Bring water, snacks, good walking shoes, and a change of clothes if you plan to wade in the natural pools. Avoid plastics and help keep this beautiful site clean.
